Autumn

October is a month that feels different than the rest. Many people have a fondness for it. Autumn brings with it a deeper, special kind of magic. The days become shorter, welcoming longer nights. The winds become harsher, whipping around fallen leaves in a frenzy of color. We are reminded by the trees that every living thing is at the mercy of the same life cycle. It’s the time of year lit by candlelight and beckons us to pull our jackets around ourselves a bit tighter. We reach for a hand to warm ours. We gather together in celebration of having each other to get through the harsher times. With only a few months left in the year, we begin to reflect on what this year has brought and taken away. We imagine what a new one will bring. What do you want to bring with you and what do you want to leave? As the leaves change, how have you changed? Have you taken the time admire how you’ve survived? You’re still growing into yourself. You will bloom again, differently. Sometimes differently is good. Sometimes differently is necessary. Let the world see you in all your seasons. Know you deserve to be embraced and loved in all phases of your journey. This time of year will envelope you in the transformation you’ve been working toward; if you allow it.
